Description

The only natural harbour on the wild Aegean side of Pelion. According to a Venetian legend the name Damouhari derives from the Greek expression dos mou han' which means give me grace' which was a prayer of the seamen when in danger in the area. In the little church of St. Nicolas are the wonderful sacred paintings by Pagonis from 1800 AD. Old Damouhari from the traditional cobbled path that leads to Tsagarada.
