At a distance of 35 km from the beautiful city of Volos and at an altitude of just 480 meters there is still a beautiful village of pelion, Neochori. A village built in the center of the Magnesia peninsula to the east of the mountainous area of pelion, with breathtaking views of pelion, the Aegean Sea and Pagasitikos gulf. Although with approximately 350 inhabitants today, Neohori continues to bustle with life since it is the seat of the municipality of the Venetians.
From this mined the famous stones of Pelion and so many of the inhabitants work in the quarries around the Village. Many of the cobbled streets of the village lead to the center of the picturesque square, shaded by huge perennial plane trees and adorned on its terraces with the beautiful stone-built fountains. In the market, near the square, there are beautiful traditional restaurants, cafes and other shops, with Pelion delicacies where the visitor can Enjoy.
Dense forest of pine and large coniferous chestnut trees, plane trees, shrubs heather and Arbutus surround Neochori which in combination with its splendid ravines complete the beautiful mosaic of the Landscape. On the slopes of the mountain thrive hundreds of species of shrubs, plants and herbs but also with the wonderful apples of Pelion and many thousands of olive Trees.
